The Dear Abbeys 25th Anniversary Album

“Way, way back, when grunge was cool”

...a couple of guys started what has become the internationally-recognized group we are known as today - The Boston University Dear Abbeys. Now, 25 years later, the legacy is stronger than ever. The Dear Abbeys continue to perform music that will make anyone smile, cry, and even sing along. We have performed all over the United States on our 2016 Winter Tour, at Varsity Vocals’ ICCA, and most recently at Deke Sharon’s VoiceJam A Cappella Festival. The group gets bigger and better every year, and the current group has made strides even our Founding Fathers could never imagine.

"Always singing everyday"

For our 25th anniversary, the group is recording A BRAND NEW ALBUM which will be our largest album project to date! With the help of industry visionaries at The Vocal Company, we are taking our performances from the stage to the studio. The music selected for the 25th Anniversary album symbolizes the growth and the journeys of the group. This is a celebratory album that symbolizes The Abbey Family made up of performers, family, friends, and fans. Just as you have always followed and supported us, we want you to now join us on this journey every step of the way!

"We are on a mission"

We are asking for your help in making this project become a reality. Recording an album is no easy journey and it comes with a heavy price tag. In order to continue recording and sharing this music with you, we hope to raise $15,000. This number is humbling to us all, but we know we can do it! With the help of those who have already joined us over the years, we have over 3,200 people supporting us on Facebook alone and even more on other social platforms. If every one of you donated just $5.00, we would blow past our goal instantaneously and be that much closer to amazing new music. Plus, your donations are tax deductible! Just think, $5.00 is the price of a round-trip trolley ride to and from Boston on the green line.

The 25th Anniversary Album will be released at this year’s Spring Show in April 2017. Until then, we will be recording, producing, and perfecting these tracks! By funding this project, you will help us cover studio costs, production costs, licensing & distribution fees, and the production of the final CDs.
