FIRST Robotics: Team 246

BU Robotics Team 246 "Overclocked" is a high school robotics team that competes in both FIRST and VEX Robotics Competitions. Students team up with adult mentors to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. Along the way, students learn mechanical design, engineering, building techniques, and leadership skills.

This year, Team 246 is raising funds for the FIRST Robotics competition. Starting in January, we will have 6 weeks to build a 120-lb robot, and we will compete in 2 district events and 1 New England Championship event. With your help, we can buy materials and equipment, as well as help support travel and registration costs for our team.

Once we have covered our costs for competing in New England, our stretch goal is to travel to China to help out a rookie FIRST Robotics Competition Team.  We have been mentoring this team for several weeks via Skype.  A group of 5-10 students and mentors will travel to China and help the team through its first FIRST competition!
