Detour India Fest
This event is a two-day festival expected to take place from 10th-12th November, 2017. The Indian committee at Boston University is organizing this fest with an objective of promoting the cultural, social, and political aspects of India. Our goal for this conference would be to encourage the idea of breaking away from global perspectives of Indian stereotypes.
The recent unfortunate events against the Indian community in the US are an epitome of ethnic prejudice. Our fest aims to deliberate on these pre-existing prejudices by bringing together brilliant speakers to talk about their journey of detouring from the conventional path and advocate the importance of the evolving Indian culture.
We expect to host close to 500 people at this event, and we hope for this to be the biggest event seen on the BU campus! Help support us and make our dreams for this event come true!
