CAMPAIGN FINALE: You are AMAZING---THANK YOU
1 month, 220 contributors, $17,725 (7 times our original goal), and now well over 1000 books to send out to hundreds of schools and thousands of children. I read these facts but I can hardly believe them––your generosity has been AMAZING.
On behalf of the Evolving Minds Project team and everyone who worked on the book, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts––with special thanks to our anonymous matching donor.
Sadly, this Crowdfunding site will literally disappear today (BU is switching to a new software system). However, we have your email addresses and will circle back to you next week with a preview of what comes next. HINT: if you know elementary school teachers who will actively use these books, please gather their contact information now. More soon…..
You can follow our work on the Child Cognition Lab Facebook page and www.EvolvingMindsProject.org where the donor wall will also be updated.
With our profound thanks once again––
Deb and the Child Cognition Lab team
YOU DID IT! Got us to $10k and the $2,500 match! Match extended to EVERY last gift!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Nearly 200 of you, whose generosity got us to this amazing benchmark - and triggered a $2,500 match! Our new total (over $12,500) is FIVE TIMES what we set out to raise. Translation: ONE THOUSAND BOOKS to 500 schools!!!
The anonymous "matching donor" is SO impressed that the match has been EXTENDED to cover EVERY LAST GIFT until the campaign ENDS at MIDNIGHT on WEDNESDAY!
So if someone you know has been holding back, NOW is the time - and EVERY dollar will be matched 1:1. We've set a final benchmark just to challenge ourselves - another 30 gifts averaging $25 ($750) would mean another $1,500 when matched - and another 120 books! But whatever else comes in at this point, it all means MORE BOOKS for MORE KIDS!
So SHARE the Piloses story! Post to Facebook, email friends. Each gift is a gift of science!
Here's the link to send: crowdfunding.bu.edu/evolution . A THOUSAND THANKS TO ALL!!!

CLOSING STRETCH: WE CAN MAKE IT BUT WE ONLY HAVE 48 HOURS!!!
To Our Wonderful Supporters,
We have been so overwhelmed with the outpouring of kindness that has brought us from our initial goal of $2,500 to where the campaign is now...$9,500!!!
However, we are now down to the wire and we need your help IN THE LAST 48 HOURS to reach $10K and trigger our anonymous supporter's generous dollar-for-dollar challenge grant so we can reach $12,5K. We are now so close.....and yet not quite close enough.....
PLEASE HELP US: DON'T LEAVE BOOKS ON THE TABLE INSTEAD OF IN SCHOOLS!!
Please reach out to 1,2,3 or more new friends to see if they can help. EVERY gift counts. If you reached out to a friend who hasn't got around to contributing yet--please remind them.
We have until 12pm MIDNIGHT on Wednesday (Oct 18)
From the bottom of our hearts THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU for your support!!

DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT - NEW dollar-for-dollar match in the FINAL DAYS!
With just a FEW DAYS left in the campaign, YOUR GIFT will be DOUBLED - matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to a generous challenge grant from a fan of the Piloses storybook and other Tumblehome Learning science books for kids.
YOUR GIFT of $10 becomes $20; your gift of $25 becomes $50 and now covers TWO schools, your $50 gift now covers FOUR schools, and so on. EVERY GIFT will be matched dollar-for-dollar - so make your gift TODAY.
Let's raise $2,500 THIS WEEK, reach $10k, and trigger the match to get to $12,500. That's 1,000 books to 500 schools!
EVERY gift makes a BIG difference! We need 100 gifts in 10 days - by midnight on Wednesday, October 18th.
Will YOU give NOW to teach science to young kids? THANK YOU - it means a lot!

Project Donors: TRIPLE thanks for your support . . . . YOU have made this happen!

So we're going for it! With $7,500 (3x the original goal!) behind us, we're aiming for $10,000 - with the campaign to end in just 7 days. Can YOU help?
That journey to $10,000 - with 400 schools and thousands of elementary student school beneficiaries - begins TODAY. Please join us - and help send the Piloses to School! Keep spreading the word about our project!
EVERY GIFT counts! Your gift of just $10 is a vote for science for kids; $25 gift covers one school, $50 two schools, and so on. Whatever the amount, please give TODAY - just a few days left!

Full Steam Ahead!
Two incredible weeks into this Crowdfunding Campaign, and we have raised an incredible $6,310 for books so far. That's almost 250 elementary schools across the country with materials that accurately teach natural selection! From all of us in the Evolving Minds Project Team THANK YOU SO MUCH for your phenomenal support.
But we're not done yet! Please keep spreading the word, so we can finish this campaign strong. Help us hit $7,500 this week!! Let's show just how many people support science literacy for children.
ONE SMALL BOOK = ONE BIG MESSAGE

101 Reasons to KEEP giving (Reason #1: Each $25 is ONE MORE School!)
You may have noticed (as of this writing) that we''re 101% of goal. So WHY should you still give? The math is simple:
MORE $ = MORE BOOKS = More Schools Served = More Science-Literate Kids!
We're SO proud to have passed $5,000 today - thanks to YOU! We'd doubled the goal (from $2500) only a few days ago. TODAY we got 25 NEW gifts, mostly $25.
Do we DARE double the goal again to $10k (i.e., 400 schools)? YOU DECIDE.
Cast your VOTE today by getting ONE more person to give. If you haven't given yet, make YOUR gift NOW - in any amount!
If you have given, THANK YOU SO MUCH. Now pass the joy! Paste this link into a personal email or text to ONE person. Let the video tell the story! Here's the link to share: crowdfunding.bu.edu/evolution
Just 3 days since launch. WOW! Thank you SO much for your support and for spreading the word!! It is really appreciated
- Thanks from the CCL Team and the Piloses Promoters (from 16 states and counting!)
It's YOUR VOTE! Can YOU help Get Out The Vote for science education for kids?
Hooray! Campaign is LIVE-- Give TODAY!!
We are delighted to publicly launch our campaign today. Our "Piloses Promoters" have been quietly raising funds for a few days now, and their diligent efforts enabled us to double our initial goal to $5,000 - enough to send books to 200 schools! Let’s keep up the momentum! Shout it from the rooftops (and on social media): Let's send out books, books . . . and MORE books!!
Make your gift TODAY (if you haven’t already) - and then pass the word on!
Thank you so much for all of your support. We need to keep fighting the good fight for early science literacy - EVERY child deserves a strong start on the careers of tomorrow (actually, today)!
Deb, Erin and the Evolving Minds Team
PUBLIC LAUNCH moved to Monday, SEPT 18 (heartfelt hugs to all in harm's way)
Our thoughts are with everyone in the Caribbean, Florida, Texas and beyond whose lives are being so tragically affected by the trio of hurricanes. While our Piloses Promoters continue their quiet outreach, we are delaying the public launch of this Crowdfunding Campaign for one week. The public launch is now Monday, Sept. 18th.

DOUBLE . . . DOUBLE . . . TOIL? . . . NO TROUBLE!
Fundraising isn't witchcraft. It’s the science of human generosity. But YOUR IMPACT, Piloses Promoters, and that of your friends and colleagues, is nothing short of MAGIC.
As pro bono fundraising counsel to Dr. Kelemen, I say: let's DOUBLE THE GOAL TODAY . . . to $5,000. Our advance-guard Ambassadors (Piloses Promoters) will get us there. Perhaps even before next week’s public launch!
We'll put the Piloses storybook into 200 schools ($25 per school). And . . . DID YOU KNOW: there are just 300 elementary schools in Hawaii, 1600 in CA, 500 each in ND and NH. SCIENCE KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES. It’s not about any one state . . . or even ALL 50 STATES. It’s positively planetary.
This project is BIG! And getting BIGGER!!
But, as we say in Boston: We-AH jus' gettin' STAH-ted!
YOUR kids . . . OUR kids . . . are counting on us.
- Mark Holman, Fellow Piloses Promoter
SUCH INSPIRING TRIBUTES honoring teachers ... and parents ... and children!
The "in honor of" tributes linked to early donations have been DEEPLY MOVING - as if the strong early response itself weren't inspiring enough. Parents honoring their children or nieces/nephews, children honoring parents, and SO MANY TRIBUTES TO TEACHERS! We know that people give -- and teachers teach -- to make a lasting difference in the lives of others, to be part of something beyond themselves. But this project seems to be attracting gifts with an added measure of meaning - and we couldn't be more delighted! We're honored by your support for our work and inspired by your commitment to science education for ALL kids.
Off to an AMAZING start! Big thanks to Piloses Promoters across 6 states!!
THANK YOU to our brilliant "Piloses Promoters," the advance-guard of our Project Ambassadors. Each team has pledged to raise $250+ of our $2,500 initial goal to place two of our storybooks into 100 elementary schools. Three days in and we have already passed 33% – a whole week before our public launch on Sept 12. WOW!
We are hoping to recruit a few more Piloses Promoters to increase our geographic reach (Arkansas, California, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania are currently represented). We would love to get the book into all 50 states! Email us (childlab@bu.edu) if you would like to be part of this leadership team. This could far exceed our wildest expectations. Thank you so much, Piloses Promoters!!!
