An early ending and a success story!

October 06, 2017

SheHacks has been so fortunate to have the support of Boston University and dozens of corporate and foundation sponsors as we've planned this event. Their pledges and support allowed us to lower our goal for our crowdfunding campaign, which is really all about the individuals.

We still have lots of sponsorship opportunities open, and we will keep working hard to raise the much-needed funds from our corporate partners, but we are happy to conclude this mini-campaign and spend the next few weeks focused on our other funding plans.

We are so looking forward to this conference, and we thank you for supporting individual student hackers, as well as feeding groups of our female and non-binary students as they participate in what we plan to be the largest all-female and non-binary hackathon in the world!  Keep an eye on shehacks.io or contact the SheHacks Boston team at info@shehacks.io to follow up before or after the event. Thanks for believing in us! -SheHacks Team

$100

Hacker Accessibility

One of our goals as a team is to try and reach women from areas in the country that don't have hackathons they can attend at their school as well as who can't afford to travel to a hackathon. We are hoping to incentive and encourage women from these underserved communities by providing them travel reimbursements so that they can attend our event and potentially get inspired to host their own SheHacks at their school! If given the funding, our group would like to provide a $100 travel reimbursement to each woman traveling outside of Massachusets.

$134

Sponsor a Student Hacker

It costs $134 to sponsor just one high school or college student to attend our event for free. This cost includes food, swag, access to resources such as mentors, workshops, hardware and more!

$500

Sponsor a Prize

Help us provide awesome prizes to reward our courageous students, who complete their project! In addition to prizes offered by sponsors, our team wants to provide prizes for beginner hackers, the best high school hack, and more! Our goal is to reward all participants of all skill levels, so everyone has the chance to win something for their efforts. We are hoping to award $500 in prizes, for each category. Prizes will range from various technologies to memberships for educational coding resources.

$1,000

Hacker Health

One of the hardest parts of the event is being able to feed everyone! Help us provide healthy snacks for our hackers such as apples and oranges, so we can ensure that our hackers are constantly energized without overdosing on coffee. On average, it costs $1000 to feed just a 100 hackers for each meal.
